Duong Lam Village, also known as Duong Lam Ancient Village, is a well-preserved ancient village located in Son Tay Town, Hanoi, Vietnam. It is considered one of the oldest continuously inhabited villages in Vietnam, dating back to the 8th century. The village is known for its traditional architecture, including its well-preserved laterite houses, temples, and communal houses. It is also home to a number of historical and cultural sites, including the Ngo Quyen Mausoleum, the Phung Hung Mausoleum, and the Duong Lam Museum.

The best time to visit Duong Lam Village is during the dry season, from March to May or September to November.

The village is located about 45 kilometers from Hanoi city center. There are a number of buses and taxis that run to the village.

  • Bus: The bus journey takes around 1 – 2 hours, depend on which part of Hanoi, and costs between $5 and $9 USD for a one-way ticket
  • Car: Special option Private car with driver is a great way to see Vietnam at your own pace. The car journey costs between $50 and $70 USD for a one-way ticket
